About
Built by someone who needed it.
centered space didn't start as an app. It started as a handful of things that actually helped on the hard days, collected one at a time by someone learning to steady themselves.
Why it exists
I tried the big apps. Endless libraries. Hour-long programs. Streaks that somehow made me feel worse for missing a day. And in the moments I actually needed help, chest tight, mind racing, an urge I didn't want to act on, I didn't want a thousand options. I wanted one small thing that worked, right now.
So I built the box I wished I'd had: a short set of grounding tools you can reach for in two minutes, use, and put back down. No homework. No pressure. No scores.
Grounded in what actually works
I'm not a clinician, and centered space doesn't pretend to be one. I'm someone who lives this, who read the research, tried the techniques, and kept the ones that held up.
Every tool traces back to an established, evidence-based practice: the same techniques used in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), somatic (body-based) work, and peer-reviewed breathing research. Where a tool comes from a specific method or study, our guides name the source, so you can see exactly where it comes from and read more yourself.
What centered space is (and isn't)
It's a wellness tool for self-regulation: a calmer few minutes when you need them, and a way to build the habit of coming back to center. That's it, and that's a lot.
It is not therapy, not medical treatment, and not a substitute for professional care. If you're struggling, a licensed professional can help in ways an app never can, and reaching out is a strong move, not a weak one.
Private by design
We never sell your data, not ever, to anyone. What you create in the app (notes, cards, mood logs) stays on your device. You can sign in with just your email (no password) to unlock your subscription and sync favorites, but the personal things you make never leave your phone. Read the full privacy policy.
